The protagonists are part of a self-help group whose members – Turks and Germans – live all over Germany. They meet on the internet at their convenience. Sometimes they travel and meet for collaborative projects. This is the case with this film, coordinated by Kirstin Nahrmann, who studies neurolinguistics at the University of Bielefeld.
Many things are special about this film, especially its German-Turkish team, the German-Turkish production and language: Bir ben vardir bende, bende iceri. You can see the trailer for the film here.
Kirstin Nahrmann and Emrah Turan are responsible for the coordination and organisation of “Es gibt nur ein Ich...” (There is only one I...). The documentary was directed by Hülya Karcı and Meltem Öztürk. The production partner was “Youth on the move”.
Hörmann sponsored the distribution of the film.
