Universal adapter for VarioFix steel profile frame
The new universal adapter for our VarioFix steel profile frame ensures a faster, simpler and more environmentally friendly fitting without the need for fitting foam. The universal adapter can be used for door leaf weights up to 80 kg, additional fitting foam is required for weights up to 120 kg. Three to six door frame holes are provided in the frame groove for fastening the universal adapter. In addition, sound-absorbing strips can be glued in at the factory on request in order to reduce noise. The VarioFix frame with universal adapter can be used with all wall types for fitting flush and rebated door leaves (timber residential internal doors, glass doors as well as internal doors ZK and OIT (rebated only).
Advantages of the VarioFix steel profile frame
The robust VarioFix steel frame can be adjusted in the decorative rebate and is therefore suitable for wall tolerances of up to 20 mm (–5 / +15 mm). For example, a 125 millimetre wall width means that the frame can be used for wall thicknesses of 120 to 140 millimetres. The double-shell frame can be fitted in all wall types and is suitable for both rebated and flush-closing door leaves. In principle, the steel frame with wall width adjustment is fitted like a timber frame: it covers the wall reveal completely without visible foldback and is not mortared. The latter has two advantages: for one thing, the frame can already be powder-coated on site and the fitting time is reduced by the drying phase that is necessary for frames with mortar. Thanks to the new universal adapter, fitting is now possible without fitting foam, which makes it even quicker to fit and more environmentally friendly. The VarioFix frame results in great time savings on the construction site and prevents complaints about soiling or damage to the frame. The corner joints of the steel frame are welded to a high standard and ground flat so that no mitre cuts are visible in the corner area. The robust frame construction can also withstand impacts from toy cars or vacuum cleaners and guarantees a uniform gap dimension for flush-closing doors, as it does not warp after installation. Thanks to the high-quality hot-galvanised steel and the additional powder coating, even water can't harm the robust frame.
