The radar sensor R-Loop is an innovative and robust multi-frequency radar sensor that ensures reliable detection of vehicles and people at barriers. The sensor uses state-of-the-art radar technology to detect and analyse movement and stationary objects in an area of up to eight by eight metres. It can reliably distinguish between vehicles and people, and operates smoothly even in adverse weather conditions such as rain, fog or snow. The radar sensor R-Loop is versatile, easy to configure via app and convenient to install. It communicates with power-limited barriers via a volt-free output. As type D safety equipment, it provides personal protection up to a distance of six metres without the need for a counter-post or reference point. It provides a convenient and safe alternative to induction loops and photocells, without the need for additional road surface work.

Optimally matched to one another

We think and act green

As a family business, we are very conscious of our responsibility to future generations and offer all industrial doors, operators, loading technology, construction project doors and perimeter protection systems for construction projects CO2-neutral upon request. The Hörmann climate protection strategy aims to reduce and avoid CO2 emissions. We cover 100% of our electrical power needs at all European production locations with purchased green electricity. 
We also apply many other measures to reduce our consumption and save more than 75000 tonnes of CO2 each year. We work with ClimatePartner to offset the emissions that we do generate by supporting certified climate protection projects.

Individual control / management concepts

In addition to operating the barrier via radio or stationary control elements, each barrier control can be individually expanded according to customer requirements. This ensures straightforward integration of the barrier system into existing facility management systems and fire alarm systems. In addition, Hörmann offers a comprehensive ID card management system. Developed in-house, the system features customised entry and exit management. Access authorisation is granted using various identification media, e.g. QR code cards, RFID code stickers or number plate recognition. At the same time, it is possible to manage user groups with different authorisation levels and time zones.

Remote control worldwide

With the optional web server connection, you can operate and manage barrier systems and the ID card management system anywhere in the world on any end device. They can be accessed via the web browser on your smartphone, tablet or PC. With the clearly structured web interface, it is possible to operate the entire barrier system, run status queries on the barrier system and carry out comprehensive user administration including entry and exit permits. What’s more, the web interface displays any faults that can then be rectified directly via the system. Our optionally available Cloud Unit W5-B makes mobile control even more convenient. As a plug-and-play IoT solution, it connects barriers of the SH series with the Hörmann Cloud.

Service-friendly components

The control unit is well protected and integrated directly into the barrier housing. The modular structure allows the convenient fitting or replacement of the individual components. This way, potential malfunctions can be quickly and easily recognised and resolved. Additional extensions, such as the module for the ID card management system, can be integrated into the barrier housing directly. By incorporating all components and extensions into the barrier housing, the effort required for maintenance and servicing is significantly reduced.

Comprehensive preliminary functional test of your system

The functional test of the entire barrier and pay station system prior to delivery guarantees quick fitting and reliable operation. With Hörmann, all the desired functions and features of the individual system components are checked to exactly the same degree as the compatibility of all interfaces. The outcome: The complete systems are pre-assembled and configured ready for operation ex works.

Ticketless parking

The vehicle number plate recognition system enables fast and non-contact parking management at entry and exit stations. When you enter, the HCAM Basic camera detects the number plate. A parking ticket is not required. The parking fee is calculated simply by entering the car's registration plate on the touch display at the automatic pay station. When you exit, the barrier opens again by number plate recognition. The HCAM Basic camera is compatible with all Hörmann perimeter protection systems and doors and also reliably detects international number plates.
