IBS: automatic intermediate stop for telescopic lip dock levellers

A new function for our telescopic lip dock levellers: This automatic intermediate stop function reduces the risk of falling when extending and retracting the lip. Integrated into the Hörmann 560 T and 560 V controls, it ensures greater workplace safety before and after loading.

Loading technology Already available Industrial and public construction projects

If an industrial door is guided in front of a dock leveller, e.g. with a DOBO system, there will be a large gap between the leveller and the docked vehicle. To prevent staff from falling when working in this area, the lip must be extended. Staff can then safely approach the vehicle, open its doors, fully extend the lip and lower it onto the loading surface, significantly reducing the risk of accidents. With the new sensor-controlled IBS function, the lip stops automatically in the right position. This additional function for telescopic lip dock levellers is suitable for connection with Hörmann 560 T and 560 V controls. It works with both level and inclined platforms and is suitable for retrofitting. Adjustable sensors underneath the dock leveller determine the extension range of the lip for the intermediate stop and position of the dock leveller. When the IBS function is active, an LED light on the extension housing of the IBS control warns against travelling on the dock leveller with forklifts.
