Our H60 OD (highly fire-retardant) and H120 OD (highly fire-resistant) doors have received the European Technical Assessment (ETA). The ETA is a performance assessment document that permits the CE marking to be affixed to a product. The CE marking is required in order to bring construction products to market across the European Economic Area. It has been obtained for both fire-rated doors (in both single-leaf and double-leaf versions) for interior use. The ETA is valid for all European countries and it provides planning security for European projects.

Door leaf glued over the entire surface

The fully bonded composite construction in the door leaf and in the rebate ensures particularly high stability and leaf strength. It makes sure that the door always closes securely and accurately with a satisfying noise.

High-quality appearance

Hörmann OD steel construction project doors impress with their permanently flush surface. What sets them apart is that unevenness in the door leaf is virtually eliminated. In double-leaf doors, the flush-fitting transition between the two door leaves creates a harmonious overall appearance.

Universal corner frame

The universal corner frame (corner frame type 2) is ideal for various wall systems: brickwork, gas concrete, concrete, partition walls (with counter frame). As standard, the frame is screwed to the wall with the diagonal fixing using the prefabricated drill holes in the frame.
Alternatively, the frame can be fitted using the optional dowel brackets. Flexibility for installation in a partition wall (also retrofitting) is provided by the Vario B53 counter frame as well as the optional adapter for fitting the frame with floor recess.

Mortar-free fitting with DryFix frame

The DryFix frame is the ideal solution for easy, quick and clean fitting of OD steel construction project doors with fire protection requirements (T30 fire-retarding and T90 fire-proof). The frame is fully prepared at the factory and already backfilled with mineral wool. This saves up to 50% of the required fitting time at the construction site. The DryFix frame is particularly suitable for fitting to existing structures since it can easily be retrofitted. 

Internal and external doors

Internal and external doors have different requirements when it comes to fire protection and performance characteristics, such as wind load or water tightness under heavy rain. The fire protection functions of internal doors are subject to a test pursuant to DIN 4102 and EN 1634. External doors, however, close a wall opening in the building. As they are usually exposed to wind and bad weather, the performance characteristics are tested according to EN 14351-1. When used as fire protection doors, the product standard EN 16034 “Windows, doors and gates with fire/smoke protection properties” is also required.

Barrier-free passages

Hörmann automatic hinged doors are accessible for people with disabilities and are suitable for universal use. On request, our construction project doors can be equipped with a suitable operator ex works. You can conveniently operate the automatic doors by button, radar and movement detector, as well as Hörmann control elements with BiSecur radio technology, such as the convenient hand transmitter, for example. With our operator packages, we offer complete, value-for-money solutions for every scope of application. It is also possible to fit your door with a barrier-free overhead door closer, making it possible to open the door with very little effort.

Explosion protection

The term “ATEX” is the abbreviation for “ATmosphère EXplosible” and is usually used as a short name for the European Directive 2014/34/EU for explosion protection. This directive regulates the use of products in potentially explosive atmospheres and is intended, in particular, to protect people working in such environments. Specially equipped Hörmann steel construction project doors for ATEX areas prevent sparking and electrostatic charging, so that the door poses no risk of explosion.
